IT: AsiaInfo wins China Mobile business

Telecom software provider AsiaInfo Holdings Inc. said it has signed contracts
with China Mobile to construct network support management systems for China
Mobile and six of its provincial subsidiaries.
The system will be rolled out in Guangdong, Sichuan, Guizhou, Jiangxi,
Shanghai and Shandong, AsiaInfo said in a statement.
The network support
management system includes features such as a data collection and management
platform, comprehensive business monitoring and report management. No financial
details were provided. AsiaInfo began operations in Delaware before moving major
operations to China in 1995. The firm in 2004 purchased PC maker Lenovo's
non-telecom related IT services business.
