Real Estate: New supply hits record

Last week's new supply hit a record 502,000 square meters, the largest amount
in a single week this year as developers have accelerated the launch of new
projects after seeing signs of a rebound. Several home exhibitions have helped
developers to collate a database of potential buyers, said eHomeday.com, a
Shanghai-based real estate service company.
The area of unsold apartments in China reached 123 million square meters by
the end of March, jumping 23.8 percent from the corresponding period last year,
Xinhua news agency reported today.
