Energy: Oil mining sector

China is considering opening the oil exploration sector to private
companies.
A draft paper just completed by the Ministry of Land and Resources said
companies wishing to explore for oil will need capital of at least 10 bln yuan.
10 pct of all technical staff must be senior engineers experienced in oil
exploitation for the company to get an oil exploration
license.
