With the arrival of spring, the curtain rises on the 2026 "Shanghai Spring" — the 8th International Accordion Culture and Arts Week, showcasing the collision of diverse cultures.
The Culture and Arts Week will be held between March 30 to April 6 in Changning district, hosted by the Shanghai Musician Association, Changning culture and tourism bureau, and Changning federation of literary and art circles.
The week brings together top accordion artists from six countries including Russia, Moldova, Italy, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Finland, as well as outstanding performers from the Yangtze River Delta region, aiming to connect cultural tourism, commerce, art, and urban spaces through diverse activities to create a spring art feast that is shared by all.
From April 1 to 6, a series of accordion performances will take place across iconic local venues including the Hongqiao Art Center, the terminal 2 of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and Shanghai Zoo.
At the same time, the event will promote the establishment of long-term cooperation mechanisms among cultural institutions, tourism enterprises, and commercial entities, empower business with cultural and tourism activities, explore the integrated development path of "cultural, business, tourism, sports, exhibition, and green", and inject lasting momentum into the high-quality development of the region.
