Beijing Poly Theatre and the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory are launching a five-year choral arts collaboration, with a signing ceremony at Beijing's Forbidden City Concert Hall on Wednesday. The initiative marks a milestone in cultural exchange between the two countries.

The program will feature international choral conducting masterclasses, a China tour by the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory choir, and an international choral festival, blending performance, education, and academic research to strengthen ties between the two countries' musical communities.

The launch event also included a performance. The Tangshan Grand Theatre Children's Choir, under the baton of Alexander Solovyev, a professor in the Choral Conducting Department of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, performed the Chinese folk classic Jasmine Flower, symbolizing the harmonious fusion of Chinese and Russian musical traditions.

The collaboration promises to bring international expertise to China's choral arts scene while deepening cultural dialogue between Beijing and Moscow.
