Hongqiao Pearl Market hosts Lantern Festival cultural event for foreign officials

Beijing's Hongqiao Pearl Market hosted a cultural immersion event for international officials celebrating Lantern Festival on Tuesday.
The Academy for International Business Officials under the Ministry of Commerce and the market in Dongcheng district co-organized the event, which integrated Lantern Festival folk customs with intangible cultural heritage skills.
During the event, the foreign guests enjoyed performances of Peking Opera, guzheng (Chinese zither), and shuttlecock kicking. They also tried out calligraphy, making snowy white yuanxiao (sweet glutinous rice balls for the festival), and pearl craftsmanship.
