This agreement confirms the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's 80th-anniversary China tour in 2026, featuring violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter. It also outlines plans for extensive collaboration over the next three years, focusing on artist residencies, joint creative projects, and large-scale arts education initiatives.
Bardwell said, "We view this as a historic, long-term commitment. It extends beyond performances to include investing in the future with our partners in China, cultivating an environment where classical music can thrive."
The Wuxi stop of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's 80th-anniversary China tour with Anne-Sophie Mutter is scheduled for Nov 14, 2026.
