World Cities Day China Observance opens in Chongqing

World Cities Day is the United Nations' first international day focused on cities and the first such day initiated by the Chinese government. The idea was proposed in the Shanghai Declaration at the Expo 2010 Shanghai China Summit Forum, suggesting Oct 31 as the set date.
