Shanghai Disney Resort announced plans on Tuesday to expand one of its most popular attractions, Soaring Over the Horizon, increasing the ride's capacity by about 50 percent while adding a new finale to the aerial adventure.
The attraction, which debuted in Shanghai in 2016, combines physical effects with large-format projection technology to create an immersive flight experience over international landmarks and natural wonders.
Andrew Bolstein, president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, noted that the ride has "delighted millions of guests of all ages since opening" and expressed excitement about welcoming more visitors to experience the enhanced version.
