Former Hebei official investigated for serious violations

Jiang Deguo, former member of the Standing Committee and vice chairperson of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is under disciplinary review for suspected serious violations and illegal activities, the country's top anti-corruption agency said on Saturday.
Jiang is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, according to the commission.
