Chinese vice-premier meets Egyptian deputy prime minister
BEIJING -- Chinese Vice-Premier Zhang Guoqing on Tuesday met here with Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister Kamel El-Wazir.
El-Wazir, also a special envoy of the Egyptian president, is in China to attend commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Zhang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China is willing to work with Egypt to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, strengthen cooperation in areas such as industry, transportation and new energy, and continuously enrich the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership.
Egypt stands ready to deepen cooperation with China in various fields and promote greater development in bilateral relations, said El-Wazir.
