HONG KONG -- The 2025 policy address of Hong Kong will be delivered on Sept. 17, John Lee, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), said on Saturday.
Lee made the remark at a media briefing after visiting Kwun Tong district of Hong Kong to gather public opinions on the upcoming policy address. He said that the HKSAR government has held over 40 consultation sessions for the policy address in the past two months, with public submissions rising 10 percent compared to the previous year.
Lee said earlier that this year's policy address will be delivered earlier than in previous years because a Legislative Council (LegCo) election will be held at the end of the year, and the current LegCo term will end early.
