Beijing debuts robot restaurant and 4S store for 2025 World Robot Conference
A robot-themed restaurant and the world's first humanoid smart robot 4S store will officially open on Aug 8 in Beijing E-Town, an economic and technological development area in the southeast of the capital, coinciding with the launch of the 2025 World Robot Conference.
Billed as a "fantasy experience", the venue offers visitors the chance to dine and shop in a fully automated, AI-driven environment.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by humanoid robot bartenders, entertained by a robot band, and even treated to stand-up comedy performed by robots styled after the classic Chinese poets Li Bai and Su Shi.
During meals, diners can interact with dinosaur robots, while delivery and recycling robots move efficiently through the space. Robots also prepare pancakes, coffee, and milk tea on demand.
"As a cutting-edge, robot-themed restaurant, we aim to create an immersive dining experience blending taste, culture, and technology," said Sun Ling, deputy general manager of Beijing E-Town Robot Technology Industry Development and head of the restaurant. "We're also linking up with our 4S store to accelerate the commercial rollout of mature robot products."
Reservations will be available on the Dianping and Meituan apps starting Aug 8.
