As sweltering temperatures grip much of China, Hainan's Tropical Rainforest National Park Tourist Highway provides a lush retreat, connecting rainforests, tea plantations, and mountain getaways.
The journey starts at Baihualing Tropical Rainforest Cultural Tourism Area in Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county, a gateway to Hainan's tropical wilderness. The island's first 5A-standard rainforest attraction boasts summer temperatures averaging 22 C and forest coverage exceeding 90 percent.
