Gulnar Shaimergenova, director of the China Studies Center, Kazakhstan, said that the integration of technological progress with respect for tradition in Chinese modernization process offers a valuable and inspiring model for urban governance.
Shaimergenova was speaking at the Global Mayors Dialogue—SCO Summit Cities event in Tianjin, North China, on Tuesday.
She added that we should embody a harmonious balance of respect for the past, environmental care and innovation for future generations.
