A vast expanse of mist and clouds appeared over the Dajiu Lake scenic area in Shennongjia, Hubei province, on an early July morning. The fog floated midway up the mountains, with trees flickering in and out of view under its hazy veil.

The lake surface reflected the misty scenery, duplicating the soft and mysterious ambience. The distant mountain peaks loomed faintly through the fog, like an elegant ink-wash painting. A gentle morning breeze carried a hint of coolness.
