The final deck segment of the Heishan Gorge Yellow River grand bridge in Zhongwei, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, was installed on Thursday, bringing the project a significant step closer to its goal of opening to traffic within the year. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The 1,539-meter-long bridge is a major project on the highway linking Zhongwei in Ningxia and Mengjiawan in Shaanxi province.
