International students explore Shenyang's heritage

At the Industrial Museum of China, the students explored a foundry workshop and learned about machines from different periods after 1949, the year the People's Republic of China was founded.
Tanzanian student Oneya Nelson Jaden paused in front of the country's first machine. After learning about the casting of the first metal national emblem, he said, "Shenyang's industrial development is impressive, and these exhibits reveal the profound heritage of Chinese manufacturing."
