Chinese medical workers perform first cerebral angiography procedure in Burkina Faso
Taking the medical team as core, over 10 medical workers, including neurosurgeons, cardiologists, and nursing teams from CHU Yalgado Ouédraogo and CHU de Tengendogo, participated in the angiography.
A multidisciplinary team meeting was held through the MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) model, inviting Professor Guo Zhilin, director of Neurosurgery at the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Professor Sylvain, director of Neurosurgery at CHU Yalgado Ouédraogo, to evaluate and discuss the patient's condition.
After assessing the vascular structure of the lesion area through cerebral angiography, the medical team formulated the best treatment plan.
Three days after the angiography, Guo conducted the craniotomy for vascular malformation excision at CHU Yalgado Ouédraogo.
