3 missing in NW China coal mine accident

LANZHOU -- Three people went missing in a coal mine accident in Pingchuan district of Baiyin city, Northwest China's Gansu province, local authorities said on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place at 7:43 pm Monday when a water inrush occurred at a coal mine in the city. Among the 133 workers operating at the worksite, 130 were safely evacuated, while three remain unaccounted for as of 8:10 am Tuesday.
Local authorities have promptly activated emergency response following the accident. The on-site emergency rescue and relief efforts are still underway.
