Fujian Coast Guard carries out law enforcement patrols near Jinmen
The Fujian Coast Guard conducted on Wednesday routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Jinmen, an island lying off the coast of Fujian, a spokesman for the China Coast Guard said on Wednesday.
Zhu Anqing, a spokesman for the CCG's East China Sea bureau, said in a news release that since April, the Fujian Coast Guard has organized fleets to continuously strengthen law enforcement patrols around the waters near Jinmen, further enhancing the control over the relevant sea areas.
These patrols effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the lives and property, of Chinese fishermen, including those from Taiwan region, and ensure the normal navigation and operational order in the waters between Xiamen and Jinmen, the spokesman said.
