New plant species found in Jiangxi

Researchers have recently announced the discovery of a new plant species, Sedum orientalichinense, in East China's Jiangxi province, enhancing scientific knowledge of the plant kingdom and providing new momentum for biodiversity conservation efforts in the country.
The findings were published on March 14 in the international botanical journal PhytoKeys, marking the first scientific record of this species.
