So far, a total of 1.3 million tickets have been sold for the exhibition, with expectations that the On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt exhibition could break the new record for having the largest number of visitors to a touring exhibition of Egyptian cultural relics all over the world.
Going on to Aug 17, 2025, the exhibition marks the largest showcase of ancient Egyptian artifacts in Asia, featuring 788 objects selected from seven institutions around Egypt. It also marks the first comprehensive collaboration between an official Chinese museum and the Egyptian government.
