Sanya's chempedak and yellow dragon fruit of Hainan Xiyuan Agriculture were selected for the latest national list of distinctive agricultural products by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, marking the first time that Sanya agrarian products have been included in this list.

The chempedak and yellow dragon fruit are among the novel and superior varieties introduced to Sanya by Hainan Xiyuan Agriculture in recent years.

 
Currently, the plantation of yellow dragon fruit covers an area of 400 mu (27 hectares) in Tailou village of Tianya district. This variety is known for its high planting difficulty and nutritional value, and it is an emerging fruit category with increasing demand in the market.

At the same time, more than 400 mu of chempedak planted by the company near Lingzha Reservoir in Tianya district have been on the market. Due to its delicious taste and excellent quality, it has gained popularity among consumers. Since its launch, the market demand has exceeded supply, bringing good economic benefits to the growers. It has become a new way for farmers in Sanya to increase their income and gradually become an emerging industry for income generation.

Sanya has been insisting on optimizing the planting structure and gradually forming a development pattern for the tropical fruit industry, focusing on mango industry clusters and novel and superior tropical fruit industry.
