Cen Jianglong, co-organizer of the Village Basketball Association tournament - one of China's best grassroots sports competitions, recalled how the viral game changed for an otherwise unknown village.
Cen, also the head of Taipan village in Southwest China's Guizhou province, said the village has received more than 900,000 visits over the past year.
Riding on booming tourism, the village has also won back young people from the cities.
