Hangzhou introduced the Hangzhou Citizen Code, a unified gateway to 10 municipal service codes, on Dec 20, allowing citizens to navigate the entire city with a single code.

Convenient public services in areas such as public transportation, cultural tourism, credit benefits, sports and fitness, employment entrepreneurship, and housing leasing are accessible through the code.

To enjoy the services linked to the code, citizens can open the Hangzhou Citizen Card app, click on "Citizen Code" at the bottom, complete real-name authentication, authorize access, and start utilizing the services immediately. The feature is available to local residents and visitors alike.

Hangzhou plans to continuously enhance the services provided through the Citizen Card and Citizen Code. The goal is to expand and improve application scenarios to include areas such as healthcare, immigration services, smart elderly care, disability assistance, poverty alleviation services, childcare, household services, administrative errands, and future communities.
