A desert in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region was covered in white after a recent heavy snowfall. It's a different kind of beauty: In Miaomiaohu village of Pingluo county of Shizuishan — on the edge of the Mu Us Desert — the golden sand sea is frosted, and the sand dunes appear taller against the snow.
