Pakistan to host Asian Taekwondo Open Championship next month
ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan is set to host the fifth Asian Taekwondo Open Championship for Senior Poomsae and Kyorugi next month, said officials here on Monday.
President of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) Waseem Janjua told a press conference that over 500 athletes from 27 countries and regions will feature in the event from November 1-5 at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
"Top taekwondo players from all over the world would feature in the senior category competitions of Kyorugi and Poomsae in the mega event," said Janjua.
The president added that the international competition would be "beneficial in the professional development of our players, and they will learn a lot and gain experience in competition with their international contemporaries."
