China appoints new minister of finance

China has appointed Lan Fo'an as minister of finance, replacing Liu Kun.
Lan became Party chief of the ministry in late September, shortly after he was announced to no longer serve as secretary, standing committee member and member of the Communist Party of China Shanxi Provincial Committee.
