Senior official of XPCC under investigation
Wang Bingju, deputy secretary-general of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, has been placed under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation on suspicion of seriously violating Party disciplines and national laws, according to a statement issued by the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervisory Commission of the XPCC on Tuesday.
Wang, 60, is a native of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. He started working in September 1981 and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1987.
He has spent his career in Xinjiang serving in various positions, including as deputy head of Manas county, Party chief of Qitai county and executive vice-governor of the Changji Hui autonomous prefecture. He was named deputy secretary-general of the XPCC in December 2019.
