As a Japanese daughter-in-law lived in Dalian, Taniguchi Megumi goes back to her parents-in-law's house during the Chinese New Year, preparing New Year's Eve dinner, making dumplings, and going to the lantern festival with her husband's families.
Megumi obsesses with the colorful decorating street lights and lantern festivals in downtown Dalian during Spring Festival holidays. "In 2023, I will pick the Chinese character hua, which means 'speak or talk' in English, to inspire me to communicate more with friends," Taniguchi Megumi said.
