Number of China's stock market investors up 1.25m in August

BEIJING - The number of stock market investors in China rose by 1.25 million in August from the end of July, new data showed.
The increase comprised about 1.24 million individual investors and 3,500 non-individual investors, according to the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.
By the end of last month, the number of investors in China's stock market totaled 208.6 million, the data revealed.
