Zhao, Jones named CBA Players of Week
BEIJING -- Liaoning Flying Leopards point guard Zhao Jiwei and Jilin Northeast Tigers shooting guard Dominique Jones were named Players of the Week in the final round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league's regular season.
Zhao averaged 21.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists and four steals, shooting 60 percent from 3-point range over the past four matches, as Liaoning concluded the regular season with a seven-game winning streak, ending as regular season champions with a win-loss record of 32-6.
Jones registered an average of 37.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists and two steals in 45 minutes of action, including two triple-doubles, helping Jilin win three of the last four matches.
With a 22-16 record, Jilin ranks 10th and advances to the playoffs to be held in Nanchang in east China's Jiangxi Province from April 1.?
