BEIJING -- China's power generation rose 4 percent year on year to reach 1.31 trillion kilowatt-hours in the first two months of 2022, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) shows.

The growth rate reversed a year-on-year decline of 2.1 percent registered in December.

In breakdown, thermal power generation rose 4.3 percent year on year, and hydropower output jumped 8.2 percent from a year ago.

Nuclear power and solar power generation increased 9.6 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively, while wind power output fell 7.6 percent, NBS data shows.
