Xi urges efforts to ensure sound operation of int'l economic, financial system

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping on Saturday called for efforts to ensure sound operation of the international economic and financial system.
Xi made the remarks while addressing the 16th Group of 20 Leaders' Summit via video link in Beijing.
Xi stressed stepping up macroeconomic policy coordination and ensuring the continuity, consistency and sustainability of policies.
Major economies should adopt responsible macroeconomic policies to avoid negative spillovers on developing countries, Xi said.
