Yang Naidao, a centenarian in Xinjia village of Qingyuan, Guangdong province, received his first shot of vaccine against the coronavirus on Thursday.
The 111-year-old man was born in 1910, and lived for a year during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Nanfang Daily reported.
Yang is healthy and supports vaccination against the coronavirus, said his son Yang Wenli, adding "my father had a physical check-up, which came out well and showed he is eligible for the vaccination."
At the vaccination site, Yang had a check-up and evaluation again before he had the jab.
"It was fast. The workers here were very responsible and patient. I'll have the second shot on time," the elder Yang said after the vaccination.
