Weightlifing magic emerges at Chuanshi Island

Since its establishment, the weightlifting team of Fujian province has cultivated six Olympic champions and nine world champions and set seven world records. The secret may be Chuanshi Island, where the team does its training.
At the National Games in 1995, Fujian won nothing in the weightlifting. The head coach, Chen Wenbin, decided to take the team to do closed training on the Chuanshi Island, a 3.7-square-kilometer island in the estuary of Minjiang, Fujian.
