Yi Jiufan, 87, in Changsha, Hunan province, went viral online recently with an unusual travel experience. 

Over the last 27 years, he has toured 27 countries on five continents, including Russia, South Africa, the United States and the Netherlands. 

He writes travel poems and shoots videos. Three of the four walls of his living room at home are scattered with his travel photos, with labels like "Africa", "Oceania", "Europe" and "Asia" on top. He has more than 10 books of poems he wrote. 

Netizens said he has realized a dream that many young people are looking forward to.

Yi retired at age 53 and opened a store with his wife selling and renting books and videotapes. He said he always wanted to see famous attractions in the world and learn new things and meet new people, but he didn't have time at a younger age.
