Guangdong forward Ren, Jilin team leader Sun suspended one match
BEIJING - Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league's governing body on Wednesday imposed a one-match ban on Guangdong Southern Tigers forward Ren Junfei, and Jilin Northeast Tigers team leader Sun Jun.
Ren had his arm wrapped with that of the Shenzhen Aviators forward Lu Yiwen with 53.8 seconds remaining in Tuesday's game, and was deemed to use a 'non-basketball harmful action' towards Lu.
Apart from the one-game suspension, Ren was also fined RMB 50,000 yuan (about 7,520 US dollars).
In Tuesday's match against the Jiangsu Dragons, Sun was accused of questioning, and using abusive words towards the match referee with 5:20 left in the third quarter.
The Jilin team leader was therefore banned one match and fined RMB 10,000 yuan (about 1,504 US dollars).
