China Securities reports net-profit surge

BEIJING -- China Securities Co Ltd, a leading Chinese securities broker, reported a 122.4 percent rise in net profits in June.
The company's net profits totaled 1.005 billion yuan (about $143 million), according to a statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Its revenue rose 92.3 percent year on year to 2.04 billion yuan, the company said.
