The Bad Kids, a mystery drama co-starring Wang Jingchun, winner of the Silver Bear for Best Actor in 2019, is set for online release Tuesday, the web production's social media account announced Monday.
Previously promoted with the title, Cat's Cradle, it revolves around a man who hatches up an elaborate murder plot to kill his cheating wife and her family after she demands a divorce. However, his actions are recorded by three children playing nearby.
Known in Chinese as Yin Mi De Jiao Luo, the show is adapted from a suspense novel by popular mystery fiction writer Zijin Chen.
The 2019 film, So Long, My Son, won its stars Wang Jingchun and Yong Mei the best actor and actress awards at the Berlin International Film Festival, and was hailed by critics as a breakthrough for Chinese art house films.
