Juventus eyeing move for Barcelona's Arthur
RIO DE JANEIRO - Midfielder Arthur Melo could swap Barcelona for Juventus in the upcoming European summer transfer window, according to media reports in his native Brazil.
Arthur's contract expires in June 2024 but Barcelona may be tempted by an offer of 35 million euros for the 24-year-old, reports said. He would receive an annual salary of four million euros ($4.3 million) more than what he currently earns at the Camp Nou, according to the Uol news service.
After an impressive debut season with the Blaugrana, Arthur has endured a frustrating 2019-20 campaign with injuries and poor form limiting him to just 23 matches across all competitions.
Arthur has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan in a possible deal involving Argentinean striker Lautaro Martinez.
Last month, the Brazil international denied speculation he could be leaving Barcelona, saying he saw himself "staying for many more years."
