The trend of China's economy to maintain sound development in the long term remains unchanged despite the challenges of the novel coronavirus outbreak, President Xi Jinping said on Friday.
Xi made the remarks in a telephone conversation with United States President Donald Trump.
China has the confidence and capability to win the battle against the epidemic, Xi said.
