Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Rao Yi, a Chinese professor explained how United States President Donald Trump's approach allowed more research funding in China.
Last year, for the first time China reported a basic science expenditure surpassing the 100 billion yuan ($14.4 billion) mark.
Now, with Trump's hostility toward measures against climate changes, Rao is worried about the world's future.
