After four years of implementation, the county now has a 69.2 percent forest coverage. All the main rivers have been kept at Grade III, a level in China's five-tier water quality system, meaning they can be used as drinking water sources. It has also registered more than 300 days with fairly good or very good air quality for four years in a row.
Along with s better environment, various ecological tourism projects have been initiated in the county.
