NEW YORK - A Chinese student who was reported missing last week in New York City has been found safe and sound, police confirmed Monday.

Luo Zanxiao was found in good condition, an officer with New York Police Department (NYPD) Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI) told Xinhua via the phone.

The 22-year-old woman left her apartment at Duffield Street, NYC borough of Brooklyn, just after midnight on Wednesday.

While she could not be found after that, she was reported missing and NYPD issued a search notice on social platforms on Saturday.
