Da Mo Chang is an old street linking two commercial areas in Beijing, Chongwenmen and Qianmen. It’s also known for its hutongs and courtyards, which still reflect the traditional lifestyle of old Beijing.

The music project has been supported by the local governments of the Xicheng and Dongcheng districts, since the two incorporate the capital city's main hutong areas, including Qianmen and Nanluoguxiang, and efforts to revitalize, restore and protect these old neighborhoods is being encouraged.
