Meeting your love at metro
For single young people in Central China's Wuhan, a new dating service recently unveiled at the city's metro station might be just the trick to improve their love lives.
The free dating platform, called "Love Corner", opened at the Dazhilu Station of Line 6 on Sunday. It was jointly launched by local newspaper Changjiang Daily and subway operator Wuhan Metro.
The dating platform aims to provide young citizens opportunities to meet their Mr. or Mrs. Right by hosting various dating activities and onsite gatherings.
The dating corner features a big electronic board, on which profiles of single men and woman are displayed, and desks and chairs are available for chat between love-seekers.
According to a report by Wuhan Evening Paper, singles are required to sign up for the dating services through their employers and registration by individuals is not allowed.
The dating services come in an "online + offline" model. Besides the corner itself, romantic hopefuls can also get access to information on a public account called "WH Aijia" on social networking service WeChat.
