The China (Shanghai) International Youth Football Invitational 2018 came to an end on Saturday, with Club Pachuca, the team from Mexico, defeating Cote d’Ivoire’s Asec Mimosas 5-2 to win the tournament.

The closing and award ceremonies were held at the No 1 High School Affiliated to Tongji University in Yangpu district.

The week-long invitational tournament, which featured 16 Under-17 football teams from 10 countries and regions, was co-organized by the Ministry of Education, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Shanghai municipal government.

In addition to the games, organizers hosted activities such as the China football summit, elite training camps and Shanghai culture experience activities which included fan calligraphy, porcelain painting and tai chi sessions.
