Editor's note: The atmosphere was joyous at the graduation ceremony of the School of Nursing at the University of South China based in Hengyang, Hunan province, on June 10. Among the 20 graduating students were 10 young mothers who were accompanied by their babies. These young mothers' tenacity to finish school was tested not only by their rigorous studies, but also by the practical concerns of pregnancy and daily child care. As the saying goes, after suffering comes happiness. Dressed in cobalt-blue gowns and black caps, with babies in arms, surrounded by their relatives and friends, the young women celebrated one of their happiest moments.
